Does anyone want to start a bluegrass band to play locally? I am a bass player and can sing.
Early 30s if that matters to you--I am open to players of all ages.
I have professional and family obligations, so not looking to tour but would love to play weekend shows and parties around Central Ohio.
There are plenty of bars and venues in the city that would love to have this kind of band for happy hours, early shows, openers, full sets, etc.
My goal is to set up a group to play bluegrass music with a rock/jam/"newgrass" feel.
Thinking of bands like early YMSB, Greensky Bluegrass, Railroad Earth, Sam Bush, Infamous Stringdusters, etc.
I can host in a small space for acoustic music, located just south of Downtown Columbus.
