Support physicians and other members of the patient care team in providing patient care in accordance with the standards of Avina Women’s Care.
The hours are (4) 10 hour days.
Education, Work Experience and Licensure:
Education: Active State of Ohio LPN license required.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a practicing LPN preferred.
Labor and Delivery or OB/GYN experience highly preferred.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide primary response, oversight, and support to patient calls and voicemail messages to the physician(s) and practice, including medical counsel, prescription coordination, and appointment scheduling, and the delegation of such.
Serve as a liaison between the physician and patient in the provision and coordination of patient care; reporting to the physicians.
Provide direct oversight to physician/practice clinical support staff, including Medical Assistants and delegates tasks.
Coordinate and provide oversight to incoming medical reports
Coordinate and provide follow-up to such reports with physician and patient
Assist with clinical procedures and patient monitoring as necessary and required by the practice/physician.
Assist with the management and administrative oversight of clinical staff as necessary and required by the practice/physician.
Performs all aforementioned and assigned duties in accordance with practice/physician policy, and applicable state and/or nursing board governance and law.

All other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Technical/Motor Skills: Must be able to type; ability to speak clearly and listen with comprehension essential to communicate effectively on the telephone and in person with patients, physicians, and staff.
Physical/Mental Abilities: Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Essential Sensory Requirements: Good vision perception sufficient to read, write, and view computer screens and printouts accurately.
Hearing adequate to hear patient, physician, and staff conversations.
Technological Skills: Must have knowledge of EMR, Email, Word, Excel, and familiarity with Internet.
Special Skills: Must possess exceptional nursing skills and customer service skills.
Hours of Work: Normal Business Hours.
