What You'll Do: The Ohio Attorney General's Office is currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual for an Administrative Assistant position in the Business Counsel Unit of the Finance Section.
The Administrative Assistant must have a strong command of all Microsoft Office applications and will perform the following duties including but not limited to: -Assist the section’s Business Counsel Unit with sensitive inquiries, documentation, and other administrative tasks -Provides non-routine administrative support (i.
e.
, resolves problems by independently formulating decisions &/or judgments related to non-legal interpretation of policies & procedures, prepares correspondence &/or reports or carries out other assignments) -Performs general clerical tasks, maintains files (electronic &/or hard copy) & retrieves information; prepares routine forms; maintains records retention & disposal schedules & arranges record transfers -Manage and screen Section and Unit incoming phone calls -Proficient with conversion of documents and formatting of contract documents -Format, coordinate and manage presentations for legal conferences -Work with attorneys and other staff on coordination and management of contracts and contract details -Serve as liaison between the Business Counsel Unit, clients, and staff -Interface with a variety of internal staff as well as external clients -Prepare reports and forms -Manage scheduling and other communications using Microsoft 365 and related Microsoft software, -Must be quick learner of new office – related technology -Coordinate meetings electronically, make and manage remote and in-person meeting arrangements -Perform other duties as assigned.
