We are seeking an experienced technologist with a strong record of accomplishments for a Director of Software Delivery opportunity.
As the Director of Software Delivery, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing all activities associated with creating software for multiple products and services of the organization.
Through close collaboration with cross-functional leadership, you will create and drive the strategic direction of technology and software development as well as testing initiatives.
You will ensure resources and performance plans align with company goals and lead the team to successful software releases and updates that achieve financial performance targets.
The ideal individual is a technologist with the ability to solve complex business problems, who will lead by example to drive the Agile delivery of secure and innovative solutions.
You should be comfortable talking tech with developers, numbers with finance, and strategy with executive leadership.
You inspire and motivate teams to help them align with the vision and strategy for both technology and the business.

You have an agile mindset and can coach and mentor your teams to incorporate industry best engineering practices into their software delivery.
Key Duties and Responsibilities for this position are: Responsible for the design, development, and testing of quality products and applications.
Own and deliver world-class software products, technology services, and performance levels for all technology offerings, acting as an escalation point during incidents facilitating timely issue resolution, and communicating appropriately with internal and external audiences.
Provide leadership for all technical approaches including architecture, software development, and testing.
Possess strong subject matter expertise to identify and translate business and system requirements into software, including reporting requirements and design documents, and lead the designing and implementation of technology frameworks and applications.
Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of software development and drive accountability for the delivery of quality software releases.
Define and document software development best practices.
Establish, plan, and administer the overall policies and goals for the software development and testing teams while delivering high-quality, stable, and intuitive software in a timely manner.
Engage in hands-on, in-depth analysis, review, design, and implementation of applications.
Conduct regular code, design, and testing walk-throughs and reviews to ensure enforcement of coding and architectural standards and practices.
Provide leadership to staff through effective objective setting, delegation, communication, and coaching.
Background and Requirements include: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience with 10+ years of business application design and development experience.
Experience with iterative and incremental software development methodology.
Proven ability to produce effective, innovative solutions on a large scale.
Proven experience in building highly reliable, scalable, enterprise-class software products.
Five+ years of progressive experience in Planning and Operations, including experience in Operations and Team Management, with experience managing multiple successful teams and functions within an organization.
Proven leadership and management skills.
Experience with team building and team collaboration.
Natural ability to lead by example and by holding one's self accountable for project outcomes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate well and effectively.
Ease in articulating technical concepts that are understandable to diverse groups of technical and non-technical personnel.
Goal oriented.
Able to set and achieve aggressive goals.
Comfort with shifting priorities and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to envision the ultimate goal (big picture) while focusing on the details.
Ability to describe the desired future state as well as specific steps needed to achieve it.
Ability to step outside role confines, work independently when necessary, and help teach, enable, and motivate other team members.
