The Junior Driver Recruiter will support the Driver Recruiter to source, vet, and hire qualified drivers to join FST.
This position will primarily focus on Over the Road recruitment for company drivers, although some Local and Regional driver recruitment will also be required.
The Junior Driver Recruiter will assist in determining applicant qualifications by serving as the first point of contact at FST.
This role will aid by coordinating interviews with operations, maintaining an organized ATS, assisting the Safety Department in verifying references and comparing qualifications to job/contractor requirements.
This position will run all reports on interested applicants including CDLS, MVR, DAC, PSP, Widescreen, etc.
To ensure success as a Junior Driver Recruiter, you will establish and maintain a strong network of driver candidates, ensure all leads, candidate follow-up, and internal customer follow-up are executed with priority.
You will ensure that FST maintains ongoing positive communication with all leads via multiple channels.
You will ensure the overall standards of FST’s safety & compliance programs are met as they apply to all potential and new hires including completion of Driver qualification and Clearinghouse prior to hiring, assisting in administration of controlled substance testing and any other safety & compliance issues, and coordinate pre-employment background check and DOT drug screens.
You will be held accountable to comply with all defined business process and the utilization of all technology platforms, as defined by FST.
To ensure success, you will also be responsible for verifying previous employment for all potential drivers and ensure FST is compliant with the designated standards.

Bachelor’s degree preferred
CDL license preferred
1+ years driver recruiting experience or related experience in the transportation industry
Knowledgeable in TenStreet
Proactive mindset and proven ability to stay up to date on trends
Less Than Truckload experience preferred
Strong knowledge in driver safety (HOS, DOT regulations, etc.
)
Proficient with Microsoft Office and proven tech savviness
Ability to build and maintain relationships
Strong communication skills (in-person, over the phone, email, and text)
Excellent organizational, time management, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
Strong negotiation skills
