Position Summary This position will lead the end of line floor and train new line operators to job specific tasks and verify line operator’s ability to accurately perform assigned task.
This individual will be responsible for the safe operation, correct setting for equipment and cleanliness of equipment and area.
This role will report directly to our Production Supervisor and will work out of our brand-new state of the art manufacturing facility in Columbus (Whitehall) Ohio.
Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities Fosters communication amongst the team to ensure the line is functioning as efficiently as possible.
Inspects equipment prior to start to ensure that is in working condition and free of any foreign material or damages.
Optimizing output by ensuring the BPA is running efficiently.
Escalate mechanical issues to the supervisor as documented via the escalation plan.
Communicating issues that cause downtime to Maintenance in a timely manner.
Accurately create inventory as each pallet is completed.
Review item ledger for accuracy and correct any inaccuracies.
Lead huddle meeting updating the team on performance metrics and business-related topics.
Review complete pallet(s) to ensure accurate inventory.
Review all end of line paperwork throughout the shift to verify all data is being collected and tracked accurately.
Escalate all hinderance to productivity to the supervisor for resolution.
Update productivity boards located at the end of the line every hour.
Training new associates on the EOL processes.
Collaborate with other departments as required.
Maintain a fully operational, safe, and tidy work environment.
Ensuring compliance with company policies, GMP guidelines and industry regulations.
Perform changeovers as required.
Ensure pallets are located to the cooler during extended breakdowns.
Log downtime and other maintenance issues into applicable system to track and trend equipment breakdowns and production issues for continuous improvement projects.
Reports all safety incidents immediately to the production supervisor.
Follow all company Sanitation SOPs (SSOP) for cleaning equipment and facility.
Performs other duties as directed.
Escalate and partner with the supervisor as disciplinary action is warranted.
Lead by example.
Quality Assurance Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet SQF, regulatory, company, and customer requirements.
Perform quality control tests and ensure dough meet quality standards and customers’ specifications.
Reports to the production supervisor any issues or suggestions to improve quality performance or the working environment.
Ensure daily GMP checks to verify team is compliant to company GMP policy.
Health & Safety Follows company safety policies and practices fostering a safe workplace and environment for ourselves and our co-workers.
Makes SAFETY a priority, while carrying out daily activities.
Understands and follows all Lock Out Tag Out Standard Operating Procedures.
Reports any unsafe acts or conditions to immediate production supervisor.
Understands cleaning chemicals and their handling procedures.
Maintains a safe, clean, and sanitary working environment Always.
Requirements Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience Preferred Strong Math and Reading Skills necessary; must be able to read, write and speak English.
Must have 1-3 years of prior manufacturing experience; food manufacturing is a plus Can work in a fast-paced environment and must also adapt to frequent changes that may occur on the production line.
Experienced leading a team preferred.
Basic computer skills and ability to use mobile apps.
Must be able to follow written instructions in English.
Ability to operate machinery and equipment Flexibility to work off-shifts, including days or nights, weekends, or holidays as business dictates.
Ability to lead the team in a positive manner embodying Cerelia’s core values.
Reliable, self-motivated, and quick learner.
Physical Requirements: Able to stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift-up to 50 pounds, stack, and/or carry pans, ingredient containers, etc.

Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfaces.
