ANTIQUE HARNESS LEATHER VISE BLACKSMITH SADDLE STITCHING HORSE FARM TOOL.
This antique item is part of family antique collection.
This item was used to clamp leather objects for stitching them.
The part that sticks up out of the bench is a clamping mechanism with a leather pull strap through it to clamp the object in the jaws.
This is a very unique and rare leather bench.
It is thought to have been made in the late 1800's.
The bench stands 26 1/4 inches from the floor.
It is 31" long and 8" wide.
The bench is 2" thick.
The clamp portion stands 15 1/4" high x 2 3/4" wide and 2 1/4" thick at the widest part.
The legs measure 1 1/4" x 1 1/2".
